Heath Hands helps conserve 350 hectares of amazing green spaces including Hampstead Heath in North London. We work across Hampstead Heath, Highgate Wood, Keats House and the Kenwood Estate delivering a wide range of volunteering, community, learning and nature related programmes.

Looking for Hampstead Heath-related festive gifts this year? Get your online shop orders in by midnight Monday 15 December or pop into our Heath Info Hut on Saturdays 13 and 20 December from 10am-2pm for in-person purchases.
Seasonal items include: the official Hampstead Heath calendar, the Hampstead and Highgate Monopoly, winter greeting cards, books, kites and more!
And if you’d like to give the gift of a wildlife home adoption on Hampstead Heath, last orders for physical adoptions is 15 December, and last orders for e-packs for last-minute gifts, midday 23 December.
What we do
Conserving our green spaces
Our conservation and practical programmes help manage the unique landscapes of Hampstead Heath and nearby green spaces. We work to conserve the Heath for both wildlife and people, deliver various wildlife monitoring projects and improve habitat connectivity.
Staff teams across the green spaces lead many thousands of volunteers and hundreds of groups throughout the year. We work in partnership with the City of London Corporation and English Heritage to deliver our conservation and maintenance programmes.
Getting Communities Involved
Our event and community programmes support people to get active on the Heath. We help people of all backgrounds and abilities to get involved in volunteering and recreation on our green spaces, delivering a range of activities and events and working to ensure that our green spaces are welcoming and accessible for all.
