Adopt a wildlife home

As part of our wider nature conservation programme, volunteers have been working to construct wildlife refuges for some of Hamsptead Heath's iconic species.

If you’d like to support wildlife on Hampstead Heath you can adopt a wildlife home to fund the creation, maintenance and monitoring of these refuges for the year, as well as our broader conservation work to protect these species on Hampstead Heath.

In return, you will receive your adoption pack by email, including:

  • An adoption certificate

  • An information pack on the status of the species you are adopting and the location of your refuge

  • A factsheet on your chosen species

  • An update after a year on how the species is doing on our green spaces

Can’t decide on a species? You can also make a donation of any size to our wildlife habitats appeal here.

Stag beetle on trunk

Stag beetles are our largest land beetle. Their populations have been affected by loss of deadwood habitat and they are a Conservation Priority Species in the UK. Help support these iconic insects by adopting a stag beetle loggery here.
