Visitor engagement across the Heath

In addition to our regular programme of walks and and scheduled activities, Heath Hands has three interpretation and information bases across the Heath:

  • The Heath Info Hut, open on Saturdays 10am-2pm

  • The Kenwood Dairy Nature Interpretation Centre, open the second Sunday of the month and the last Saturday of the month, along with additional open days

  • Our mobile Wild About Hampstead Heath bikes

Heath Information Hut

Our new Heath Info Hut is open by the Parliament Hill tennis courts (location HERE) on Saturdays from 10am-2pm. Find our friendly team for:

  • Information about the Heath and what’s coming up

  • Information and leaflets about wildlife and nature on the Heath

  • Drop-in litter picks

  • Heath-related merchandise

 

Dairy Nature Interpretation Centre

Our Nature Interpretation Centre at the Kenwood Dairy (location HERE) is our engagement base to the North of the Heath. Drop in for:

  • Information about the Heath and what’s coming up

  • Wildlife specimens and video footage

  • Information and leaflets about wildlife and nature on the Heath

  • Themed nature activities, quizzes and colouring-in for kids

  • Heath-related merchandise

Wild about Hampstead Heath bikes

Our volunteers run a regular programme of pop-up nature activities in the Parliament Hill area using our wildlife interpreting bikes. Activities change throughout the seasons - check our what’s on page for details and find them for:

  • pond dipping

  • bug hunting

  • tree and leaf ID

  • birdwatching

  • and more!
