Hampstead Heath Corporate Volunteering

Alongside our day to day volunteering programmes we welcome a huge range of amazing community groups, schools and companies who want to volunteer their time to help conserve the Heath and its wildlife.

Businesses of all sizes come from across London to get stuck in to a range of tasks, helping with habitat management, litter picking, event management, wildlife conservation and park maintenance. A big part of any corporate volunteering day is the team building aspect, with many groups looking for games, a mental health focus or a social aspect to their days. Spending time in nature as a team within easy reach of Central London is also a key benefit of a corporate volunteering day on Hampstead Heath.

Colin Houston, our Projects and Volunteer Manager says: “at the moment companies are looking for ideas to bring staff together safely. With COVID restrictions it’s been a challenge to meet up, and Hampstead Heath’s corporate volunteering programme is a perfect way to get together safely, contribute to the community, have a positive environmental impact and have a bit of fun too.”

The most important aspect of any corporate volunteering day on the Heath (other than the post session pint, or swim in the ponds of course) is that all the participants go away having contributed their time and effort to our ongoing conservation of our green spaces. The day could be part of a wider company campaign related to sustainability, part of corporate social responsibility programmes, a way for staff to use their volunteering days, or simply because you want to make a difference to London’s green spaces.

Hannah from Anthesis said of her company’s day: “we were looking for a meaningful project that our team could come together and make a real contribution to protecting the environment. Heath Hands offered the perfect activities for us and all my colleagues had a fantastic time and plan to be backl!”

Organising a corporate volunteering day is easy. You can find further information on the different ways companies can get involved on Hampstead Heath on our corporate volunteering webpage, fill in a short application form and we’ll be in touch to discuss your requirements and book you in.
