The details for a ‘typical’ group:

• Group sizes vary, but around 15 people works well - the maximum group size is 30 people.

• We offer full day (6 hour) and half day (4 hour) options.

• Lunch is usually brought by participants. You can discuss options with us, or enquire about us providing it for an additional cost.

• We can offer meeting rooms and access to the Heath’s sports facilities as part of your day.

• Talk to us about tailoring your day (teambuilding, messaging, meeting rooms, social activities).

Costs

Costs vary depending on group size, additional requests, the time of year and catering requirements. All charges go to cover the equipment costs, refreshments, room hire, insurance and the supervision of your day. Your contribution supports Heath Hands’ volunteers working throughout the year and our wider conservation activities.

The minimum cost for a group is £725.

For groups above 15 people the cost per person is £48 for a half day, or £60 for a full day.

Tasks

These vary according to the time of year, but are always outdoors, hands-on and fun. You can expect to be involved in some of the following:

• nature conservation activities and habitat management on Hampstead Heath

• wildlife conservation and environmental protection

• gardening

• litter picking

• projects linked to your company’s sustainability, mental health or other corporate priorities

• supporting our work with community groups, disability charities and the general public !

• festive team activities

All groups receive:

• expert supervision from our knowledgeable staff

• a guided walk to see the highlights of Hampstead Heath and explain the context to the day’s tasks

• full health and safety briefings and guidance and instructions throughout activities

• support for participants with accessibility or additional needs

• use of our volunteer hub and changing facilities

• all equipment, tools and any equipment that is required

• obligatory tea, coffee, biscuits and cake!
