Family activities on the Heath
As we approach half-term and the summer holidays, here’s a round-up of family activities on the Heath and other ways to get out and about and active on our green spaces.
Nature activities and workshops
First off, our wildlife interpreters will be out on Sundays 25th May and 1st June between 2 and 4pm running free drop-in nature activities in the Parliament Hill area. Look out for the big wildlife bikes and take part in bug hunting and pond dipping with our friendly volunteers.
Over at Highgate Wood, the City of London team will be running an insect safari from 10.30-12.00 on Saturday 24th May. No booking required, just turn up at the Info hut near the cafe.
Want to find out more about pollinators and get up-close to bees and other beneficial insects? Join our resident expert for a family-friendly pollinator walk on Tuesday 27th at 1pm - book on here.

Fun at the Zoo
Did you know that Golders Hill Park Zoo turns 120 this year?
To celebrate, the City of London Zoo team are organising a celebration on Thursday 29th May from 10am to 1pm.
Find them by the Donkey enclosure for games, challenges, prizes and surprises!
And while at Golders Hill Park, do admire the flowers in the Walled Garden, make use of the playground and facilities.
Looking ahead to the summer
Out exploring on your own? Why not pick up a map to the Heath or Heath Explorer’s kit at our Dairy open day or buy one from our online shop.
We also stock tried and tested kites for a breezy day on Kite Hill! Check them out here.
And keep an eye on our what’s on page, which will be regularly updated with all the Heath’s events, including bandstand concerts.
