Recovery through nature in Hampstead Heath

Accessibility

All of our programmes on Hampstead Heath are suitable for all abilities. Thanks to funding from Camden Giving, we are running extra activities at more accessible locations on Hampstead Heath, have created fully accessible gardens and can supply adapted equipment and tools to meet the needs of everyone.

Activities

We aim to support disabled, or disadvantaged people in accessing activities and outdoor pursuits on our green spaces, either as part of bespoke group activities, or on an individual basis. We can provide access to buildings, equipment, enclosed teaching gardens, facilitated sessions and much more.

We work with partner organisations to create a programme of regular activities in nature, which include volunteering, gardening, walking, nature mindfulness etc.

Spending time meaningfully in nature, getting active, and making a positive contribution to the environment are hugely beneficial for mental and physical wellbeing and have been shown to help those in recovery programmes.

We are also happy to partner with organisations looking for green social prescribing opportunities.
